Walking through the streets of the historic center of Cisternino it is difficult not to be enchanted by the beauty of the historic homes and the balconies adorned with flowers. An enchanted country that has made food and wine one of its main characteristics. In fact, Cisternino is famous for two small meat specialties: the "bombette", meat rolls stuffed and cooked rigorously on the grill and the "gnummarieddhu", rolls of lamb innards seasoned with salt, pepper, parsley and also cooked on the grill.

MARTINA FRANCA
The city of Martina Franca rises on the south-eastern Murgia plateau and is defined as the capital of the Itria Valley. It is characterized by a refined historic centre, full of numerous buildings, civil and religious, in Baroque and Rococo style. Among the pearls of the Martinese baroque, the Basilica of San Martino stands out and its marvelous façade dating back to the second half of the eighteenth century. While walking in the city, don't forget to taste the famous Capocollo of Martina Franca, the most typical salami of the Murgia dei Trulli.

Looking at Alberobello from above you have the impression of seeing a fairytale village framed among the Murgia hills. Its famous trulli, extraordinary examples of dry stone construction, were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996 as a notable example of spontaneous architecture inserted in an urban and landscape context of great historical value. Alberobello must be visited strictly on foot and in particular the district of Rione Monti, which includes over 1,000 trulli.
